Holyoake
The Challenge:
Holyoake is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation that supports individuals, families, and communities affected by alcohol, drug, and other addictive behaviours. Guided by its values of hope, respect, and collaboration, Holyoake delivers compassionate, evidence-based programs that inspire positive change.
This project was completed in collaboration with Key2Creative, who brought me on as a freelance designer. The task was to create an anniversary mark to celebrate their 50th year milestone. The final anniversary mark needed to be cohesive with Holyoake’s existing brand style and logo, as well as capture the celebratory spirit of this important occasion.
The Solution:
Holyoake’s 50th anniversary brand mark feels bright, celebratory, and remains cohesive with the brand’s existing visual identity. The number 50 was constructed using the same letterforms as Holyoake’s logo, making the anniversary mark feel like a natural extension of the brand. Holyoake’s Supporting Graphic Elements and Secondary Colour Palette were incorporated to add a sense of celebration and energy, while also improving visibility and legibility at smaller sizes.
In addition to the final logo, I developed a series of conceptual applications to explore how the anniversary mark could work in various contexts. These were not part of the official client presentation but demonstrates the anniversary mark’s potential and flexibility.
Project Scope:
Freelance: 50th Anniversary logo and additional support graphics.
Conceptual: Pull-up banner, email signature, social media, luncheon invite.
Year:
2025
Additional Anniversary Support Graphics
To emphasise the celebratory milestone, new firework-inspired graphics were developed from the brand’s existing ‘Support Graphics’. These additions bring a festive energy to applications, and are intended to complement the current visual system rather than replace it.
